Last night, OCVR held a meetup for virtual reality enthusiasts, developers, and collaborators at the beautiful offices of Sleepy Giant, a game development studio in Irvine, CA. There were roughly 100 VR troopers in attendance, young and old, ranging from experienced developers, to curious newbies. Everyone got a serious dose of face-shifting awesomeness from Doug Griffin of Faceshift, who shared his amazing face-tracking technology. E. McNeill (Darknet) and Ben Miller from WemoLab also dropped some seriously granular VR knowledge. These guys are at the top of their game and leading the indie movement for VR development.
Oculus VR was in attendance as well and gave the crowd a taste of Lucky’s Tale on the DK2!
This was the most recent of a handful of our pow-wows and we are starting to see a lot of familiar faces. Our group is quickly getting onto a first-name basis with each other.
